The Ministry of Justice published its guidance on the Bribery Act 2010 in March 2011.  The act then came into force from 1^st July 2011.   The Act contains two general offences covering the offering, promising or giving of a bribe (active bribery) and the requesting, agreeing to receive or accepting of a bribe (passive bribery).

This policy sets out a firms legal obligations of the Act by providing guidelines and procedures that staff should follow.
