Sale & Rent Back

In July 2009 the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulated Sale and Rent Back activities. This meant that firms who wished to continue trading within this sector had to obtain interim authorisation. The FSA have now released their final rules relating to the full Sale and Rent Back regime which comes into force on the 30th June 2010.

The FSA specify certain rules and requirements in relation to the way in which firms promote themselves and the services that they offer. These include high level requirements for material to be clear, fair and not misleading. At Ecompli, we produce guidance and manuals specifically for the Sale and Rent Back market, which fully take into account the FSA’s rules and regulations which need to be adhered to on an interim basis and on an ongoing basis after the full regime comes into effect in June 2010.
